Al-Kaabi, the Serbian Ambassador discuss facilitating the entry of Iraqis to Serbia without a visa

The First Deputy Speaker met on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 with the Serbian Ambassador Mr. Uroš Balov and Ms. Imela Marinkov, Deputy Head of Mission.
“Iraq enjoys good relations with the state of Serbia for a long time, and is a basis for strengthening relations in various sectors including trade, investment and culture” Al-Kaabi said.
The two sides discussed Iraq’s latest position in support of Serbia’s efforts during the international parliament meetings held a few weeks ago in Geneva, where the capital Belgrade will host the next meeting after Qatar and Iraq’s support for it at the conference of the Interpol in Dubai. Al-Kaabi remarked that Iraq’s foreign positions are enshrined in the constitution in terms of respecting international laws and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries. ”
It was agreed to activate the work of the Iraqi-Serbian Friendship Committee and to ratify the agreement on cooperation in the diplomatic field in preparation for a broader agreement on facilitating the entry of Iraqi businessmen, investors and students to Serbia. He noted that cooperation in these fields will be in the interest of the two countries for all sectors.
