The Speaker receives the Ambassador of the Czech Republic
The Speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi received, on Thursday, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Baghdad, Mr. Jan Vyčítal, on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq.
The meeting discussed joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in several fields, notably the support and training of joint security forces and reconstruction.
The Parliament Speaker praised the efforts of the Czech Republic to participate in the war on terrorism and restore the stability of liberated cities, calling for more cooperation between the two friendly countries.
H.E. stressed that the Parliament is seeking, in the coming period, to reform the institutions system, support the decentralization system, and increase the powers of the provinces, in such a way as to provide an appropriate ground to attract investors from all countries of the world, including the Czech Republic, to participate in reconstruction.
Al-Halbusi expressed his hope for Mr. Vyčítal to succeed in his new duties, assuring the readiness of the Iraqi government to further develop relations with the Czech Republic in all fields.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Vyčítal thanked the Iraqi government and its institutions for the cooperation and facilities provided to him during his term of office and presented an official invitation to the Speaker to visit the Czech Republic.
