From Istanbul, al-Haddad: We will form special committee to communicate with the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (Jerusalem)

The Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Dr. Bashir Haddad met with Mr. Humaid Al-Ahmar, Chairman of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds (Jerusalem), in the presence of a number of members of the League and the members of the Iraqi delegation (Muzaffar Ismail Ashtawi, Jamal Ahmed Mohamed, Khadija Ali Abbas and Zaitoun Hassan Al-Dulaimi)
During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation and supporting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing on the activation of parliamentary and Islamic performance, and intensifying efforts to stop the Judaization of Jerusalem and prevent attacks and abuses against Palestinians on a daily basis.
Al-Haddad stressed the need to form committees to deal with the developments of the Palestinian issue, adding: “For four years, Iraq has been preoccupied with fighting terrorism. Today, after the liberation of our territories, we will continue efforts to support Palestine. The issue of Jerusalem is a humanitarian issue. International efforts to achieve peace and implement international resolutions in support of the rights of the Palestinian people must continue. We will form special committee in the Iraqi parliament to communicate with the League. Iraq’s position is clear and supportive of the rights of the Palestinian people.”
