Delegation of Iraqi Council of Representatives headed by Dr. Bashir al-Haddad arrives in Iran

A delegation from the Iraqi Council of Representatives headed by Deputy Speaker Dr. Bashir al-Haddad arrived in Tehran on Sunday evening, 16-16-2019. The delegation included MP Hassan Jalal Al-Kanani, MP Allia Faleh al-Imara and MP Dr. Wihda al-Jumaili. They were received at the Imam Khomeini International Airport by His Excellency the Ambassador of Iraq to the Islamic Republic Dr. Saad Qandil, the embassy staff, a number of officials of the Iranian Shura Council and the Iraqi-Iranian Friendship Committee.
Al-Haddad said in a press statement that the delegation’s visit comes within the framework of the consolidation of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, and in response to the invitation by Mr. Ali Motahri, Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council to hold a series of official meetings between the two sides to discuss a number of issues of common interest.
