Al-Halboosi receives the Chairman and members of the Independent High Electoral Commission

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Monday, received the Chairman and members of the Independent High Electoral Commission.

The meeting discussed the readiness of the Commission to hold the upcoming provincial elections and the need to provide the requirements for the success of the electoral process in the country, and overcome past problems and ensure the participation of all.

The meeting also discussed the importance of continuing to update the voter record and biometric registration, the percentage of completion of the distribution of the biometric card at the governorate level and the registration centers and Iraq, as well as the file of auditing the register of Kirkuk voters according to Article 35 of the Provincial and Districts Elections Law No. 12 of 2018.
