Al-Kaabi urges political forces not to interfere in the work of Iraqi media network

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hasan Karim al-Kaabi urged the political forces not to interfere in the work of the Iraqi media network, as it is an institution that operates according to the national frameworks and rules, away from any pressure and external interference.
Al-Kaabi stressed, during his meeting with the head of the Iraqi Media Network Mr. Fadhl Faraj Allah, “the COR will expose the parties that try to meddle in the work of the Iraqi media network which must be neutral and far from partisan and external interferences that may control its decisions, and consequently contribute to the collapse of the entire media establishment”.
Convinced of the need to support the freedom and independence of the media, the Council of Representatives voted during its 31st plenary session held on July 8th, 2019 to form a permanent parliamentary committee called “Communications and Information, Al-Kaabi said.
