COR votes on four laws and ends reading and discussion of three others

In its 4th plenary session of the first legislative term, second legislative year, fourth legislative session held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted on four laws and finished reading two laws and the discussion of the legislative proposal for Health Insurance law.
The session was chaired by H.E the Speaker Dr. Mohammad al-Halbusi and attended by 180 MPs.
The Council voted on the legislative proposal for the Accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on Maternity Protection No. 183 of 2000.
It also voted on the legislative proposal for Ratifying the Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labor Convention No. 29, 1930.
The Council voted on the legislative proposal for Ratifying the Convention on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service passports Iraq and Serbia.
In the same regard, the Council voted on the legislative proposal on the Accession of the Republic of Iraq to the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.
In the part that was chaired by Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Bashir Al-Haddad, the Council finished the first reading of the legislative proposal for the Second Amendment to the law of Compensation of all Iraqi citizens Affected by Damages Caused by War Operations, Military Accidental Mistakes and Terrorist Actions in Iraq. No. 20 of 2009.
The council completed the first reading of the legislative proposal for the first amendment to the Law of the Fund for the Support of Internal Departments in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 7, 2012.
The Council completed the discussion of the Health Insurance Law proposal submitted by the Health and Environment Committee.
The session was then adjourned to Monday 23/9/2019.
