Al-Kaabi chairs meeting to discuss legislative proposals for Laws of Election and Electoral Commission

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hassan Karim al-Kaabi remarked that the next few days would witness the ratification of a number of important laws such as the Election Law of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the Law of the Independent High Electoral Commission.
This came during his chairing on Monday, November 18, 2019, a meeting of the Parliamentary Legal Committee to discuss the two legislative proposals for the laws mentioned above in preparation for their reading during the plenary session on Tuesday.
He pointed out that tomorrow’s session would include the reading of the two laws in order to pass them during the coming sessions.
