Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives participated on Wednesday 20/11/2019 in the activities and works of the Middle East Peace and Security Forum, Which was held at the American University in the province of Dohuk in the presence of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Nigervan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Masrour Barzani, the Governor of Dohuk, Farhad al-Atrushi, Mr. Faleh al-Fayyad, National Security Advisor and the officials in the region. With the extended participation of University professors, political figures, specialists and experts in political and security affairs in the Middle East, Europe and America, speeches and seminars were delivered during the forum.

Al-Haddad during his participation in one of the forum’s sessions commended the efforts of the event organizers and highlighted the overall situation in the region in general, And issues of security and stability in Iraq in particular, and ways to strengthen the relationship between the region and the federal government, He added, “Iraq is the axis of stability in the region, and there are challenges and political and economic crises facing the countries of the region and the world, Efforts are continuing for change and reform in Iraq, The Iraqi Council of Representatives seeks to interact with the demands of the demonstrators through many legislation and parliamentary decisions,middle of Speaking about the constitutional amendments, he stressed that any constitutional amendment should preserve the rights of all components, strengthen stability and secure a better future for the country and prove the pillars of democracy and freedom.
