The Deputy Speaker of the Council of representatives discusses with the Minister of Foreign Affairs the cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities and enabling Iraq to restore its leadership role.
The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad discussed in his residence in Baghdad with Foreign Minister Muhammad Ali Al-Hakim today Wednesday 25/12/2019 the overall developments of the political situation and developments on the Iraqi scene, In addition of discussing a number of issues and files of common concern, and the importance of developing foreign relations at the regional and international levels between Iraq and the countries of the world, As was discussed ways to develop cooperation mechanisms between the legislative and executive authorities, and the necessity of providing the support through approving legislations and laws that contribute to progress of state institutions in providing services and achieving their goals.
While Al-Haddad praised during the meeting the distinguished efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency pointing out to the need to restore Iraq its leadership role and to proceed with important steps to expand the area of bilateral diplomatic relations with friendly countries and the world in general on the foundations of cooperation and respect for mutual interests and its care in accordance with international contexts, And encourage the participation of the international community in the process of construction, reconstruction and infrastructure across the country.
