Al-Halboosi meets the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Thursday met the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs and Acting Minister of Defence Sheikh Ahmed Nasser al-Mohammed al-Sabah.
During the meeting, they reviewed the close relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance and develop joint cooperation between them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments.
The meeting discussed strengthening security, trade and investment cooperation between the two brotherly countries in accordance with mutual interests.
With regard to the continuation of the efforts exerted in the file of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing persons, as it is a humanitarian file, H.E. the Speaker affirmed the Iraqi state’s endeavor to completely resolve this file.
For his part, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister welcomed the Parliament Speaker, conveying the greetings of the Kuwaiti political leadership to the government and people of Iraq, stressing his country’s support for the government of Iraq in everything that achieves its stability, prosperity and preservation of its independence.
