Al-Halboosi receives a number of European Union ambassadors

‏The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Friday received the ambassadors of a number of European Union countries to Iraq.

‏During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding the developments of the situation in Iraq and the region, and the developments in the countries of the world due to the Corona pandemic, and its economic effects.

‏The meeting discussed the role of the international community in supporting the Iraqi government in all fields, strengthening means of cooperation in accordance with mutual interests, and stressing the importance of preserving Iraq’s sovereignty and protecting its security and stability, as well as the need to provide protection for diplomatic missions and secure them from being repeated targets.

‏The meeting also discussed the issue of the displaced, and the need for more efforts and cooperation between Iraq and the European Union countries to end the displacement file.
