Al-Halboosi receives the US Ambassador
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Sunday received the US ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Matthew Tueller.
The meeting discussed relations between the two countries and developments in the Iraqi and international arena.
The meeting stressed the need to preserve the security of diplomatic missions from repeated attacks and work to extend state control, impose law and achieve stability.
For his part, the American ambassador affirmed his country’s support to the Iraqi government and people in facing crises, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the two friendly countries in accordance with mutual interests.
