Al-Halboosi receives the head of the National Security Agency
On Monday, the Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received the head of the National Security Agency, Mr. Abdul Ghani al-Asadi, to discuss developments in the security situation in the country.
During the meeting, the head of the National Security Agency reviewed the agency’s plans during the current stage, and the role of the security services in pursuing ISIS remnants, while the Parliament’s Speaker stressed the need to continue the security and intelligence effort to confront ISIS cells and their attacks that threaten the stability of the country, as well as pursue the perpetrators of crimes such as killing and kidnapping, and everything that threatens the security of the citizen.
The meeting discussed the importance of working on the return of the displaced and achieving societal reconciliation in the liberated cities.
