AL- Haddad on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: We highly value the role of Iraqi women in all stages of construction and development. We work and strive to end all forms of violence and discrimination against them, with effective legislation and laws.  

 

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the designation of November 25 of each year an international anniversary, The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad announced his continued full support for Iraqi women In demanding to obtain their rights and enable them to exercise their true role in society, preserve their existence and achieve their hopes and aspirations for a future free from violence and persecution.

The Deputy Speaker of the Council stated in this statement: “We highly appreciate the role of Iraqi women in all stages of construction and development, Likewise, in the ordeals and their great sacrifices in standing with men in preserving the family, we work and strive to end all forms of violence and discrimination in society, Especially the tragedy and worst violations of human rights that Yazidi women have been subjected to, And that is through legislation and laws in force and everything that would consolidate the principles of human dignity, To achieve stability, protect the family, prevent all phenomena of violence against women, and achieve social justice in order to build a country of citizenship, justice and stability.
