Al-Kaabi: The state’s renaissance begins with the support of university professors

The First Deputy Speaker confirmed that the council of Representatives is supportive of all laws that sponsor scientific elites and called for the assimilation of holders of higher degrees and the use of scientific research to support the national economy.

The First Deputy Speaker called for giving scientific research the utmost attention and making use of it in developing all the joints of the state and the national economy and serving the scientific movement in the country indicating that the Council of Representatives will have a role in supporting and maturing laws that contribute to the improvement of university performance And make the best use of sober scientific research

This came during his attendance with the Vice President of the Parliamentary Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee  Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi to the fifth scientific conference for engineering research and graduate studies organized by the Central Technical University / Technical College of Electrical Engineering under the slogan “Engineering is thought and civilization” in the presence of representatives on a number of ministries and the participation of deans and professors of some universities and colleges in Baghdad.

 

Al-Kaabi said, “The renaissance of the state begins by supporting university professors, elites and scientific competencies and providing an entire atmosphere that contributes to improving their capabilities”. He pointed out that the legislative institution would be strongly supportive of professors all steps that would contribute to the care of researchers and restore confidence in educational institutions and support professors by various means.

The First deputy speaker renewed his invitation to the government to accommodate holders of higher degrees and benefit from their modern energies and creative ideas and their sober scientific research in promoting and developing the Iraqi economy especially in light of the economic crisis in Iraq and the world and the decline in oil prices.

While delivering the speech of the council of Representatives, Dr.  Hassan Al-Masoudi  Vice President of the Higher Education Committee stressed that the responsibility is great to restore the position that Iraq represents in the scientific aspect and efforts must be combined to develop and advance it indicating that the committee will have a supportive role in supporting reviving and encouraging educational-academic institutions projects and specialized research programs.
