The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, participated today, Monday, 1/18/2021, in the virtual meeting of the Iranian Shura Council, In the presence of the heads of national security and foreign policy of the councils of countries supporting the Palestinian cause in accordance with the framework of protection and solidarity with the Palestinian people,
With the participation of the heads of parliaments of Arab and Islamic countries, Al-Haddad delivered a speech by the Iraqi Council of Representatives in which he indicated,
“Palestine and its blessed land, Holy Quds and the Al-Aqsa Mosque have a special and high position in the hearts of Muslims,
In addition, the position of the Republic of Iraq is clear and frank towards the Palestinian cause, and today we renew our permanent official position and support for our brothers in Palestine, the leadership and people in establishing their independent state and its capital Holy Al-Quds and Iraq’s categorical rejection of the American decision to consider AL Quds as the capital of the Israeli occupation because this is a major transgression over the city’s identity and its historical, religious and ideological value.
This decision would weaken the pillars of peace and stability in the region and provoke the feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims and Christians, and anger the feelings of the followers of the religion. Moderate Judaism around the world.

The Deputy Speaker of the Council affirmed, “Holy Quds is the real key to peace in the region, and it gives the character of historic harmony and rootedness between the divine messages. Fair and comprehensive peace will not be achieved without ending the Zionist occupation of the Palestinian lands, and the region will not enjoy the peace, security and desired stability without a radical solution to the Palestinian issue.” Solving problems by implementing international legitimate decisions and activating Arab and international peace initiatives.
It is not a secret for everyone to worry about the danger of worsening the situation in Palestine, especially talking about the initiative of the deal of the century, and annexing sections of the West Bank of the Jordan River to the occupied parts,
and this fake deal is a danger and big challenge despite the strong and official rejection and opposition by Arab and Islamic countries and most of the European Union.

Al-Haddad stressed the need to take clear positions, practical and realistic measures by Arab and Islamic countries and our friends in the international community to support the Palestinian people, support their fair case, provide financial and moral assistance to continue steadfastness challenge and confront the attempts to Judaize Holy AL Quds and change its identity demographically, and move the file of Palestinian detainees in the occupation prisons and re-presented it again to the UN Security Council and the United Nations to reveal their fate.

The Deputy-Speaker of the Council called on the international community to take its responsibilities against law and history, and the Islamic peoples and all free and conscientious people in the world should support and continue to fully support our people in Palestine in order to obtain their legitimate rights, and to mobilize the international community to stand up to the daily attacks on Islamic and Christian sanctities and to stop excavation work near the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as it threatens to collapse the mosque’s foundations and expose the walls to smashing. We must also stand up to the killings and kidnappings of Palestinian youth who oppose the settlement policy and stop these practices.
