Al-Halboosi receives delegation of KDP
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received on Tuesday the Kurdistan Democratic Party delegation headed by Mr. Hoshyar Zebari.
The meeting discussed developments in the political, security, and economic situations, the most important challenges facing the country, the issue of the federal general budget for the fiscal year 2021, the emphasis on solving the outstanding problems between the federal government and the regional government within the framework of the constitution and working to achieve social justice.
The meeting also discussed the issue of early elections, emphasizing on creating appropriate conditions, and that there are strong government measures to support the Independent High Electoral Commission and secure the electoral process, as well as the importance of the role of the United Nations and organizations concerned with electoral affairs, to conduct fair and just elections that are acceptable to citizens.
