Al-Haddad discusses with the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities the National Day Law of the Republic of Iraq and the need for continued coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and the Parliamentary Culture Committee.

The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, today, Wednesday, 2/24/2021, received the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Hassan Nazim, and his accompanying delegation from the senior staff in the ministry, in the presence of the head of the Parliamentary Committee of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Mrs. Samiaa Al-Ghalab and a number of representatives Committee members, During the meeting, a number of issues and topics of common interest were discussed, foremost of which is the draft law on the National Day of the Republic of Iraq, in addition to discussing the law on holidays and official events.

Al-Haddad, in the context of his speech, stressed the importance of legislating the Ministry of Culture’s law, organizing the Ministry’s work legally and stabilizing the structure according to its legal and administrative responsibilities, His Eminence referred to the need for continued coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and the Parliamentary Culture Committee, and to overcome problems and obstacles to legislate the Ministry’s law, activate cultural activities and events, and revive heritage.

For his part, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities expressed his happiness with this important meeting that brought together a member of the Presidium of the Council and the Parliamentary Culture Committee to discuss a number of important files and issues that would improve the Ministry’s performance, In line with the requirements of the stage and the Ministry’s efforts to exercise its pioneering role in revitalizing culture and establishing important activities and events that rise with the history and civilization of Mesopotamia.
