Al-Haddad calls for more endeavors and efforts to preserve human rights, their legitimacy and legal content, and support educational programs.

The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad called for more endeavors and efforts by state institutions and civil organizations to preserve human rights and its noble principles, legitimacy and legal content, in addition to the importance of supporting educational programs to spread awareness and strength freedoms and activities related to human rights, his speech came during his reception this evening, Wednesday 3/17/2021, in his official office in Baghdad, Mrs. Tafkeh Omar Rashid, General Director of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in the Kurdistan Region. During the meeting, a number of issues and topics of common interest were discussed and searched, foremost of which is the Parliament’s support for independent bodies and commissions with legislation and laws in force and the exercise of their humanitarian tasks within the community, While the two sides agreed on the need for continued coordination and cooperation between the Commission and the High Commission for Human Rights in Baghdad and holding of joint seminars and workshops and the expansion of activities in accordance with the requirements of the stage and the need to develop performance.
