AL_Haddad on the anniversary of the million people emigration of Kurdistan: Remembrance of injustice and suffering prompts us to strengthen national cohesion and consolidate the principles of democracy on the basis of preserving the rights of all components within the framework of the constitution.

On the occasion of the passing of (30) years since the million immigration of the people of Kurdistan in the spring of 1991, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad today 3/31/2021, recall this tragedy when the Kurds rejected injustice and tyranny and living under dictatorship and immigrated about millions of citizens from the governorates of Kurdistan Region Men and women, elderly and children leaving their homes and everything they own, heading with their families to the Iraqi borders with Iran and Turkey on foot on a journey to the unknown.
Al-Haddad, and in this statement issued, said: “Remembering injustice and suffering prompts us to strengthen national cohesion and consolidate the principles of democracy on the basis of preserving the rights of all components within the framework of the constitution. And we must all make more efforts and endeavours to achieve social justice and spread the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence,” His Eminence called for the necessity of securing human rights and preserving freedoms through the legislation and laws in force, and the parties in the political process and national forces must continue constructive dialogue to resolve disputes and crises in accordance with the constitution and apply the law to install security and stability throughout the country.
