Al-Halboosi receives the Chairperson of the National Defense Committee and the French Parliamentary Forces

The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Saturday received the Chairperson of the National Defense Committee and the French Parliamentary Forces, Ms. Francois Dumas, and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance communication and coordination between the two parliaments, activate friendship committees, strengthen relations between the two friendly countries, and cooperate in the field of combating terrorism and investment.
H.E. the Speaker of Parliament stressed that Iraq needs international efforts to rebuild and stabilize it, noting the importance of France’s efforts to support Iraq in the economic and investment field, calling on French companies to invest in Iraq in all fields.
For her part, the head of the National Defense Committee and the French Parliamentary Forces affirmed her country’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Iraq and to continue communication between the two countries, delivering an invitation from the Speaker of the French Parliament to al-Halboosi to visit France next month.
