Al-Halboosi receives new Russian Ambassador
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Sunday received the new Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kontrachev.
At the beginning of the meeting, al-Halboosi congratulated the Russian ambassador on assuming his new duties, wishing him success.
They discussed bilateral relations and enhancing means of cooperation in the economic and security fields and combating terrorism, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed his country’s support and keenness to develop relations and cooperation with Iraq in all fields.
