Al-Haddad is briefed on the field about the security, service, and administrative conditions in the Soran district, the port, and the border areas in Haj Omran.

With the aim of the briefing a field view of the security and service conditions and the general life of citizens, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, accompanied by Representative Muhammad Amin Fares, visited the Soran district and Haj Omran border district between Iraq and Iran. His Eminence met with the commander of the Border Guard Brigade and met with officers and ranks, and they talked about the nature of the daily duties and the needs of the forces stationed on the border strip, Al-Haddad visited the border port and the customs police and was briefed on the work mechanisms and the efforts made.

The Deputy Speaker of the Council, and within the schedule of the visit at the border ports, pointed out in his direct conversation with officials there the importance of unifying instructions and customs tariffs at all Iraqi ports, including the Kurdistan Region, While stressing the need to support and strengthen the forces holding the land and to continue coordination and cooperation between the federal government and the regional government to maintain security and stability throughout the country’s border areas, Preventing infiltration and addressing security breaches that harmed civilians, their properties, and villages.

On the sidelines of the visit, a joint press conference was held by His Eminence with officials there to clarify the objectives and reasons for this field visit, as well as answering the questions of journalists and correspondents of satellite channels.
