‏Al-Halboosi meets President Sisi

‏The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, met on Sunday, in the presence of the First Deputy, Mr. Hassan al-Kaabi, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
‏His Excellency welcomed President Sisi, pointing to the depth of the historical and fraternal relationship that unites the two brotherly countries, and that holding the tripartite summit in Baghdad is an important and major step in supporting Iraq and strengthening ways of joint cooperation, stressing the support of the Iraqi legislature for the Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian tripartite cooperation.
‏They discussed tripartite cooperation and coordination between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan in the fields of politics, economy, trade and energy, in addition to efforts to combat terrorism and extremist ideology.
‏The meeting also discussed developments in the region, stressing the importance of coordinating tripartite positions on international issues of common interest, in a way that contributes to achieving stability.
‏President Sisi expressed his happiness for visiting Baghdad, stressing his country’s support for Iraq and preserving its sovereignty, and the importance of working to enhance prospects for tripartite strategic cooperation, and strengthening cooperation between the two legislative authorities between the two countries is its guest in the end President Sisi also invited the Speaker of the House of Representatives to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt.
