On the 7th anniversary of the Sinjar tragedy, Al-Kaabi calls  the government  to restore security and stability in Sinjar

 

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hassan Karim al-Kaabi called for activating the Yazidi [Female] Survivors Bill that the COR had already passed, as it aimed at assisting the survivors of the Daesh atrocities. Al-Kaabi stressed the need to open up the mass graves and identify the remains of the martyrs of the Yazidi component and set free ISIS prisoners being held in camps.

In a statement issued on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the Sinjar massacre and the genocide of the Yazidi community at the hands of terrorist groups of ISIS, Al-Kaabi called the government to restore security and stability in Sinjar. He added that reconstruction cannot be achieved without restoring security and stability in Sinjar

Al-Kaabi called on the international community to take its active part in the return of prisoners and detainees being held in ISIS prisons and camps and stressed the need to internationalize what took place in Sinjar as genocide against humanity and to prosecute perpetrators everywhere.
