Al-Halboosi receives Kuwaiti Ambassador

The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, received on Tuesday the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq, Mr. Salem al-Zamanan.

The meeting discussed relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries, developments in the political scene in Iraq, the importance of the early parliamentary elections to be held on the 10th of the current month, and the importance of the international community’s role in monitoring the elections to ensure transparency and provoke citizens’ confidence in the election results and motivate them to broaden participation in choosing their representatives.

The meeting also discussed a number of issues of common interest.
