Al-Haddad discusses with the Indian ambassador in Baghdad the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and increasing the volume of economic and health cooperation.

The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, received in his official office in Baghdad today, Wednesday 6/10/2021, the Indian Ambassador, Mr. Prashant Bisai. During the meeting, they discussed topics and issues of common interest, foremost of which are ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and increase the volume of Economic cooperation and securing a good environment for the Indian investor and active participation in the development of infrastructure, especially the country is entering a new phase of construction, reconstruction and development.

The Deputy Speakerof the Council stressed the need for continued cooperation between Iraq and India, especially in the health field, to confront the Corona pandemic, especially the State of India, which possesses great capabilities and global expertise in treating incurable diseases.

In the context of his speech, His Eminence pointed out the importance of strengthening military cooperation and training Iraqi forces to face security challenges with the help of friendly countries to establish the pillars of security and stability throughout the country.

For his part, Bisai expressed his happiness at meeting the Deputy Speaker of the Council and the warm reception, reiterating the keenness of India, the people and the government, to provide support and assistance to Iraq, wishing the continuation of coordination and joint cooperation between the two countries, and the success of the democratic process for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
