Deputy Speaker, Commission on Human Rights discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to strengthen role of the Commission in performing its functions and documenting violations and crimes that affected the innocent

On the sidelines of the central celebration of the Human Rights Commission on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Deputy Speaker Dr. Bashir al-Haddad discussed with the head and members of the Commission on Human Rights ways to enhance cooperation and coordination with the Council of Representatives to strengthen the role of the Commission in performing its tasks and documenting the violations and crimes that have afflicted innocent civilians during former regime and the period of occupation of ISIS to a number of provinces and regions.
During the extended meeting, a number of issues concerning the work of the Commission were discussed. They stressed the importance of opening UNHCR offices in Kurdistan Region and governorates to gather the necessary information and statistics to complete the reports and formally submit them to the United Nations and provide humanitarian assistance to the displaced people and compensate those affected and whose rights have been violated.
