COR finishes reading legislative proposals for Iraqi money recovery fund and Amendment of Companies Laws

In its 26th plenary session held on Wednesday January 16, 2018, the Iraqi Council of Representatives finished the first reading of two legislative proposals.
The session was chaired by H.E the Speaker Mohammad al-Halbusi and attended by 196 MPs.
At the beginning of the session, al-Halbusi postponed the consideration of the appeals concerning the validity of the membership of some MPs due to the lack of quorum of two-thirds of all members.
Then Mr. Atwan Al Atwani was sworn in as a Members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
The Council ended the first reading of the legislative proposal to the first amendment to the law of the Iraqi money recovery fund No. (9) for the year 2012.
The Presidency of the Council decided to postpone the first reading of the legislative proposal for the first amendment to the Integrity Commission Law No. (30) for the year 2011.
The Council completed the first reading of the legislative proposal for the amendment to the Companies Law No. (21) of 1997.
Then the Presidency of the Council decided to proceed in the sessions until Saturday 19/1/2019.
