Al-Kaabi: Iraq’s external participation should aim to achieve benefits

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hassan al-Kaabi chaired a meeting of the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, during which they discussed a number of issues, including the importance of diplomatic stances and external participation.
Al-Kaabi said that the goal of Iraq’s participation in external occasions is to achieve development in various economic, political, diplomatic, social, cultural, health and educational fields.
The Deputy Speaker called for nominating experts in the committees in which Iraq is an active member, to ensure the desired benefit.
He added that many forums have benefited the Iraqi issue, especially with regard to regional security, and fighting extremist thought, and ways to deal with these thoughts intellectually and militarily.
