Al-Kaabi meets Delegation of the Kurdistan Region Parliament

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hasan Karim al-Kaabi met on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, a delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament (KRG), headed by Deputy Speaker of the Kurdistan Region Parliament Mr. Heman Hawrami, on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Standing Committee of Asian Parliamentary. Assembly held on 3-5 September 2019 in Baghdad.
Al-Kaabi remarked, “the participation of a delegation representing the regional parliament in the meetings of the Asian Committee sends a positive message to Asian countries and the whole world that Iraqis with all their components have been able to defeat terrorism and become a symbol of peace in the world”.
For his part, Mr. Hawrami commented that the Kurdistan region aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination with the government of Baghdad.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Bloc Ms. Vian Sabri, MP Hadar Barzani, MP Ikhlas Dulaimi, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Sirwan Abdullah Sereni.
