Al-Halboosi meets his Tunisian counterpart
The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Saturday met the Tunisian Parliament Speaker, Mr Rashid al-Ghannouchi, on the sidelines of the 30th emergency conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union.
During the meeting, they discussed issues and developments in the region, and strengthened Arab solidarity, and H.E. confirmed Iraq’s steadfast stance on the Palestinian issue, and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on all of their lands, with honorable Jerusalem as its capital.
The Speaker of the Parliament also discussed the relations between Iraq and the Republic of Tunisia in all fields, and the development of parliamentary relations between the two countries.
For his part, al-Ghannouchi expressed the interest of Tunisia, the government and the people, in the democratic process in Iraq, and the achievements made in building, development and victory against terrorism.
