Al-Kaabi, German ambassador discuss importance of joining efforts to combat coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic

 

The First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi stressed the need to enhance coordination between Iraq and Germany to combat the coronavirus pandemic, expressing his serious endeavor to overcome all obstacles facing the German investors, businessmen and economists, especially problems associated with getting visa approval.

This came during his reception at his office today, Wednesday, 3 June 2020, the German ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Ole Diehl, in the presence of Ms. Enas Al-Maksousi. They also reviewed ways of developing bilateral relations at various levels and stressed the importance of activating the agreement with the German company Siemens to improve the electricity sector.

For his part, Mr. Diehl expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Iraq in all fields and the continuation of coordination in fighting the coronavirus pandemic and to give full support in this regard. He stressed that Germany had a serious intention to implement the agreements concluded between the two countries.
