Al-Halboosi receives the Representative of the Secretary-General of the UN
The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Wednesday, received the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ms. Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
During the meeting, the work of the UN mission in Iraq was discussed, in addition to the efforts made by the Parliament to prepare for the elections by completing the election law that was previously voted upon and the electoral districts, as well as following up the work of the Independent High Electoral Commission to complete the structure of sites and departments with independent and professional persons in order to restore the citizen’s confidence in the electoral process’s outputs and providing the appropriate atmosphere for it.
The government’s support for taking reform steps that reflect reality and contribute to overcoming the country’s crises were also discussed.
