Al-Halboosi meets Massoud Barzani
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi met on Sunday, in Erbil, the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Mr. Masoud Barzani.
H.E. the Speaker discussed the overall political situation and developments in the country, and the necessity of imposing the law, the prestige of the state, providing the appropriate atmosphere, and completing all the requirements for conducting free elections that express the will of the citizen.
The meeting discussed the issue of the multi districts of the Iraqi parliament election law, as well as a number of necessary legislation for the coming period, including amending the Federal Supreme Court Law.
The meeting affirmed the importance of unifying visions among the political forces, and assuming their responsibilities in order to overcome challenges and overcome crises, as well as the need for continued dialogue, to solve the outstanding problems between the federal and the regional governments within the framework of the constitution, and to work for the supreme national interest, and achieving social justice.
