Al-Halboosi Meets His Kuwaiti Counterpart
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, on Thursday met the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Mr. Marzouq al-Ghanim.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between Iraq and Kuwait and ways to strengthen and develop them, especially in the parliamentary field, and to activate and enhance the role of parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries.
The meeting stressed the importance of intensifying coordination and cooperation between the Iraqi Parliament and the Kuwaiti National Assembly, and the mutual support on various issues in international, Asian, Islamic, and Arab parliamentary forums.
Views were exchanged regarding many files and issues of common interest during the meeting, in addition to what the world’s countries are witnessing of developments resulting from recent health and economic changes.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Parliament, Mr. Sirwan Abdullah, the Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Allam al-Kandari, and the Iraqi ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Mr. al-Manhal al-Safi.
