Al-Kaabi: The solution to the problems between the region and the center will be resolved with clarity and transparency, especially with regard to oil revenues, ports, and others

First Deputy Speaker Mr. Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi confirmed that the federal government does not have any accurate data on the volume of oil exports and non-oil imports in the region, not even the precise numbers of employees and contracts signed with companies. Al-Kaabi welcomed the request of a number of MPs to link the salaries of the region’s employees to the central government and proceed with the issue of resettlement similar to the rest of the Iraqi governorates.

This came during his meeting with representatives of the Kurdistan region’s employees, including professors, teachers and academics, in the presence of a number of heads and members of the committees and representatives from the Kurdistan region.

Al-Kaabi indicated that the solution to the problems between the region and the center will be resolved with clarity and transparency in the exchange of data and numbers especially those related to revenues from oil exports from the region as well as imports of border crossings and other files to end all existing intersections.

He called for the release of the detainees during the demonstrations taking place in the region expressing his regret for the fall of a number of martyrs and the wounded. He highlighted the necessity of giving priority to the language of calm and stay away from practices that lead to violence and oppression with our brothers and sons of the demonstrators in the region who are claiming their legitimate rights.
