‏Al-Halboosi receives the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate

‏The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received on Wednesday the president of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad al-Lami

‏During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed, including the grant of journalists, writers, poets, and artists in the general federal budget for the year 2021, where H.E. promised to follow up on the issue and confirm the grant in its entirety without reducing, in support of the press and the media.

‏Al-Lami reviewed the Syndicate’s work plan for the coming period and gave an explanation about the elections of the Syndicate’s branches that are currently taking place in the governorates, while al-Halboosi stressed the importance of working to find headquarters for the Syndicate’s branches in the governorates.

‏His Excellency the Speaker expressed his appreciation for the work of journalists and media professionals, stressing that the House of Representatives seeks to provide everything that contributes to supporting this segment that has a distinct role in all the circumstances and crises the country has gone through.
