Al-Halboosi meets the Speaker of Kuwaiti National Assembly
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi and his accompanying delegation met on Monday the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Mr. Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim.
His Excellency and the accompanying delegation congratulated Mr. Marzouq al-Ghanim on the occasion of his re-election as Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the members of the Council, wishing him success in serving the brotherly Kuwaiti people.
Discussions were held to review cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait and ways to enhance and develop them in all fields, especially those related to the parliamentary side, emphasizing the continuation of coordination of positions in all international forums.
The formation of a joint parliamentary committee between the two countries was also discussed to follow up and accelerate government measures in the fields of investment, trade and free zones, and to overcome the obstacles facing these measures, in addition to many files and issues of common interest, as well as exchanging views about the developments recently witnessed in the international and regional arenas.
The Kuwaiti National Assembly offered its condolences to the Iraqi people for the victims of the two bombings that targeted Tayaran Square in Baghdad, and condemned the terrorist acts that target civilians in Iraq.
