Al-Haddad participates as the head of a representative delegation for the second day in the virtual meeting of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and reviews the report on the financial results for the past year 2020.

For the second day in a row and in the Constitutional Hall, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Bashir Khalil Al-Haddad, today evening Tuesday 5/25/2021, headed the delegation of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in the virtual meeting of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Which is being held with the participation of the heads of parliaments of 179 countries.
The virtual meeting was also attended by Representatives Yonadam Kanna, Chairman of the Committee for Civil Society Institutions and Parliamentary Development, Dr. Iqbal Abdul-Hussain, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, and a member of the Middle East Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The delegation was briefed on a detailed report on the financial results of the Federation for the past year 2020, as well as the deliberations of the Executive Committee regarding the establishment of the Cremer-Passy Award, while His Eminence listened to the reports of the activities of other committees and bodies and the advisory team on the health aspect and related to the risks of the Corona pandemic worldwide, and reviewed the new strategy of the Federation Parliamentary International.
