Al-Halboosi meets His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein
The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, met on Sunday, with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.
His Excellency welcomed His Majesty King Abdullah II, pointing to the importance of continuing joint cooperation between the two brotherly and neighboring countries, praising the Kingdom’s supportive stances for Iraq, stressing the legislative authority’s support for the tripartite Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian cooperation to serve common interests.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation in the field of politics, economy and investment, and the importance of expediting the implementation of strategic projects such as joint industrial cities, energy projects, and electrical interconnection. The meeting discussed cooperation in the security field, combating terrorism and extremist ideology, and working to enhance stability in the region.
His Majesty King Abdullah affirmed his country’s full support for preserving Iraq’s security and sovereignty and standing by its side to achieve stability, expressing his happiness at visiting Baghdad.
