Al-Halboosi meets with the Speaker of the Jordanian Senate

‏The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met on Tuesday with the Speaker of the Jordanian Senate, Mr. Faisal Akef al-Fayez.
‏His Excellency and the accompanying delegation held talks at the headquarters of the Jordanian Senate on bilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of increasing joint cooperation, especially in the political and economic fields, enhancing joint investments and activating bilateral agreements, as well as emphasizing the need to maintain coordination and consultation between Iraq and Jordan in all fields and at the level of brotherly relations between them.
‏The talks emphasized the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations and working to unify positions on various issues of common concern in various international parliamentary forums.
‏Al-Halboosi praised the common stances between the two countries in combating extremism, appreciating the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein to Iraq at various levels.
‏The Speaker of the Jordanian Senate expressed his country’s keenness, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to consolidate its relations with Iraq to be strategic relations based on constants that serve common interests and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples, stressing the importance of Iraq’s security and stability and that his country refuses to interfere in Iraq’s internal affairs, and that it stands at the same distance from the various components of the Iraqi people, and is keen on the unity of its lands, and that Jordan, under the directives of His Majesty the King, puts all its capabilities at the service of Iraq in order to restore security and stability to it.
