Al-Halboosi receives the Iranian Ambassador

The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received on Monday the Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Iraj Masjedi.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen them for the interest of the two neighbouring countries, as well as the situation in the region.

The meeting stressed the importance to adopt a common position by the countries of the region to defuse the crisis and resolve the outstanding problems by dialogue; to avoid crises and maintain stability.

The meeting also discussed the visit of the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani, to Baghdad.
